When if comes to Harbor Freight power tools, you pretty much get what you pay for. They last about 4 hours or 1 job, whatever comes first. On their grinders, the trigger switches fall apart quick. I would go with a DeWalt, Bosch or Makita if you want it to last. Even if you get a used one. Much more durable.

The HF tool has a short guarantee -- but for $10, two year free replacement, $6 for one year.

HF tools are a gamble. In my experience I've won much more than lost.

I've a superb 120V - 80 amp soft start mini inverter welder, a $49 wet diamond blade tile cutter that's cut a mile of tile, an inexpensive submerged waterfall pump that's run continuously for three years, a 4" grinder that keeps on grinding, etc.

I'm coming up blank with examples of failures, but I know there've been some.
