The HF tool has a short guarantee -- but for $10, two year free replacement, $6 for one year.

When if comes to Harbor Freight power tools, you pretty much get what you pay
or. They last about 4 hours or 1 job, whatever comes first. On their
rinders, the trigger switches fall apart quick. ...
or the most part, I agree with you.
My $9 angle grinder's switch LINKAGE fell apart. I moved the actual switch to
he end of the case. It has worked fine (after my modification) for several
ears.
BUT...
The "Multifunction Power Tool" seems to be put together much better than most
hicago Electric tools. Mine has about 20 to 30 hours of running time and quite
few projects on it. Works fine. (With no modifications! )
As I only paid $19.99 for it, I could buy quite a few before I equaled the price
f a "quality" brand.
Would I buy it if I needed it to make a living? --- Probably not.

In my experience, if it had a battery, it failed. Otherwise, probably not.
