OK, finally getting convinced that I need to install True Track. Some questions:
Charles posted some pix a few months ago (link below) that show two versions, one with a straight U-channel, and one with a curved channel. The ones at Applied seem to be straight. Are the curved ones available? What would be the advantages/tradeoffs?
Also, I've heard that maybe you don't need to put them on all 4 rear wheels, but really only need them on the mids. Comments/opinions?
Finally, KenH recommended that the alignment be "perfect" before starting installation. Only had the coach 5 mo, never had rear alignment done or checked, so no clue where I'm at. What's the risk of installing the TT when the alignment might be off?

If alignment is off the true track will not correct the problem
and you might have trouble installing it. I know of no
advantage to the curved TT other than it is heavier but the
bearing used with them is not a load bearing, bearing, like
the ones Jim K sells. You can kind of check rear wheel
alignment yourself with a 6 foot straight edge laid
against the wheels and scale from it to the frame.
Dimension should be equal on both ends of the straight
edge and the straight edge should touch both the front
and back side of both tires. If you have a laser you can
set it up parallel to the frame and scale to the front and
back sides of both wheels. Both rear wheels should be
parallel with the frame. No Toe IN or OUT. As for Camber
I don't worry about that. Some do and they will pipe in.

Jay,
To demonstrate that I have an acute grasp on the obvious you also need to
make sure your bogie pins are in good shape before you check or align the
bogies.

The curved unit is better as it can maintain control through the whole
range of movement.
The guys in Texas explained to me that the TRUE TRACK is effect when
your traveling on a fairly level road.
We produced the ones with the curved track, but found that the
advantages were not there and people did not want to pay the added
cost.
