Anyone here tried this? any tips?

The previous owner had painted the bath and shower with a flat latex paint....Ugggh! I sanded prepped and cleaned the surfaces and started painting the entire bathroom yesterday. I ran out of paint to finish the job but so far the results look great. I am using an Epoxy Tub and Tile paint that is self leveling. The result is a porcelain looking finish. I'm not sure how it will hold up, but it HAS to be better than the flat pink latex that was already there...

This picture is after the first coat, I have to wait 48 more hours before I can apply the second coat.

Looks great! Please post some pictures of the finished product and the brand of paint you used if you're happy with the final finish.

Ok, for the 2nd coat I switched to the spray cans. $44 vs. 34 for paint on So far it Looks GREAT! like a giant bright porcelin bathroom! I will post final pics after the 3rd final coat.

Here is the product used. I will advise on the durability in the future.
Spray on (preferred):

So...Carlo, How many kits did you need for the whole bathroom/shower? Is yours a wet or dry bath?

My coach has a dry side bath. Total product so far:

1 Kit of "brush on" covered 90% to 95% of the bathroom/shower stall with one coat. Keep in mind this includes the floor/walls/ceiling in shower, ceiling of bathroom, inside medicine cabinet, counter/sink, bathroom floor and bathroom walls.

2 kits of spray on was able to finish the last 10% of coat 1 and finish entire coat 2. I will be using a 3rd kit because I want a smoother whiter finish and I was covering up a dark pinkish color.

So for those doing brush on I would say 2 kits.

For those doing spray on (MUCH easier) I would say 3-4 kits.

The darker the original color, the more kits you will need.

I checked with the Homax sale rep and they said it was tint-able.

Our Tough as Tile product is tint able using 1oz maximum of the
Universal Tint System (stir do not shake). You will only be able to
get light or pastel colors with just the 1oz

Wow a tint would have been nice for the countertop, sink and bath walls. The pure White looks great in the shower stall.

Yeah but the spray cannot be tinted, only the brush-able can be tinted.

Yea it's pretty obvious that the spray can can't be tinted, but a little color may be worth the extra work of using the paintbrush....however... There is a tradeoff and I really prefer the smoothness of the spray application so I'll be stuck with pure white for the 3rd coat when I buy the next kit.
