The 6K (if tht is what you meant) is an Onan, the 4K is a Kohler. Two
completely different animals.

Yes I meant 6k unit in mine. I do have access to 4k Onan unit. I wonder if anything is worth taking off the 4k unit that I can use on the 6k.

Art,
Our 73, 23 ft coach has a 4KW Onan and about the only parts that would interchange with a 6KW are the control board and, as you mentioned, the coil.
If the 4KW is being parted, I am sure several people on the board might like some spares.

The value of the generator would depend on the condition (and location) of said generator.

Is the 4k Onan a power drawer? There are MANY more non-Power drawer Onan generators. While heavy and old technology, the 4K Onan is about the largest generator that will fit in a 23 foot's genny compartment.

I have both a 6k and 4k. I am pretty sure the only interchangeable parts are electrical.
