Look in your GMCMI Parts Interchange booklet. There are about 14
listed there.

I don't have the book right in front of me. Look under Electrical.
Oil Pressure Switch, Sender.

The Eledtrical section is probably about page 7 to 10.

Actually There are 11 listed under electrical on page 11. There are 3 listed
under engine on page 13. I just replaced mine and I used the Advanced Auto
Parts # 59962 it cost $19.95 and it works just as the OEM did. It even has a
spade connector. This is not listed in the GMCMI interchange book. They
referenced a 1974 Tornado/455 with a gauge not a light. There seems to be 2
different pressures to choose from, 60# and 80#. I believe mine is the 60#
switch. Someone noted that the 80# would only read half scale to the OEM.

A few years ago I redid the GMCMI Parts Interchange booklet to put the
items into the same categories that the GMC 78Z Parts Book uses. In
that parts book the oil pressure sender is under Electrical switches.

If there are three listed under Engines they were either missed in the
redo or have been added since. I will assume that Billy Massey will
move them to the Electrical section to be consistent. He could put a
note under Engines to say "see Electrical".

He will likely add the Advance Auto part number after he sees your
message.

You are correct that the 60 # sender is the correct one to use.

Hey Gene;

Any AutoZone numbers in there for the oil pressure sensor (I'm in
Manteca)? Mine only reads 1/4 when running down the road then goes to
0 when I idle to a stop.

Hey Gene;

Get me the number and I'll go get one. Today is the day I replace
the starter in the coach (but first I have to get the buggy running
(too many water-crossings
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfODKodMVA8))). When I get home I'll
get John to make me up some. I still need to register. Don't know if
I'll be bringing the coach as I need to pickup buggy tops if Bert and
Fay have any made, can I borrow one of your GMC's??

Hey Gary,
That looks like fun. If I do that, do I have to wear that hat?
