I came across this screen which may be the ideal solution for those floor
plans that can't accommodate a Phantom type door screen.

Check it out.

The only problem that I see with it is that it is for a flat opening,
not a curved side like the GMC.
One would have to either build an inside frame for it or perhaps just
buy it wider than the door frame and let it hand outside so that it
conforms to the side of the wall (similar to the one that I had once
posted that had a chain in the bottom to weigh it down so that it
would hang against the outside of the GMC.

David,

You're right!

I need a screen door for The Blue Streak so I ordered one and it is being
shipped John Sharpe. I won't be back in the USA until the middle of June so
I'll ask him if he could see if it works in a GMC.

I guess the pretty little person that comes with it helps with the
installation? ;-)

Is there steel in or near the bottom of the door frame? If not what good will the magnets do other than as a weight on the bottom of the screen.

Just what my 78 Royale needs. I've ordered one but am wondering if she eats a lot? And where will she sleep when I'm not on the road? Smile.

I believe the magnets are there to keep the screen closed.

If no steel there, it would be pretty easy to attach a thin steel strip at the
bottom of the door (epoxy, anyone?) and paint it to match the surroundings!
