I just went out in the shop and measured, 11" is correct.

Steve,
Need some confirmation as to what the ad means when it states: 11 to 21
inches.
I assume that 11 inches is the height of the jack stand pad with the pinned
extension and ratcheted extension at minimum.
I assume that 21 inches is the height of the jack stand pad with the pinned
extension and ratcheted extension at maximum.
The ad does not say how far the jack ram will extend. Could you measure it
for us?
I tried to find this info on the Powerbuilt website but NADA!
I did find this website that had the jackstand for $5.00 less!

Rob,
My jack extends to 17" total, in order to drop it to the highest
"locked" stage (where it essentially becomes a jack stand) you have to
release the hydraulic pressure and lower it to 16". Jack hydraulic
range is 11 - 17:, jack stand range is 11 - 16".
Handiest jack I own. This thing works perfect with either the 4
bag or Quadrabag setup. just raise the coach, slide the jackstand
under the outer lip next to the bogey casting, lower the coach and at
the lowest setting (11") it will hold the rear of the coach with all
four wheels off the ground. From there you can jack it up to any
height you want for service or work.

Unfortunately I don't understand "My jack extends to 17" total"

Why the 4" difference?

I have 2 of these exact same jacks, but I purchased them from our local
Costco for 10.99 each! Last fall.
There apparently was a big problem with the batch Costco sold as they had a
large number of them come back as defective. The defect was all the oil
would leak out on the floor when the jack was stored fully retracted with no
weight. The leak is from the lowering screw. One of mine does this, but
since I can't get a replacement from Costco, only a refund, I have decided
to live with the inconvenience. These jacks are just too handy as Steve has
stated. I haven't taken the time to try replacing the o-ring as the leak is
minimal and I just lay my jack on it's side so it doesn't leak.
I used my pair of jacks in combination with lots of wooden blocks and beams
to raise my coach high enough to roll the frame out from under it. The jacks
are much more stable than a bottle jack when at full height.

Les,
I have a number of bottle jacks that are REALLY old. I got them from the
Price Club (later became Costco) in San Diego.
I found that the seal between the lowering screw and the base is a thick
square o-ring which have dried out and leak.
Like you I store them laying down to stop the problem as I have never been
able to find any replacement parts.

Nearly all Chinese hydraulic jacks and rams use that same square,
O-ring. It is impossible to get and I have gone through three rams on
my cherry picker because of it. I have tried numerous round O-rings
and they just won't work.
Now, if you have old bottle jacks that leak more than they're worth,
don't toss them. remove the inner cylinder with the threaded insert,
weld a plate on the bottom, and presto, you have a coach stabilizer
that works so well, you can actually raise the coach with just one
hand. These things are great if one of you likes to sleep late and
the other moves around the coach a lot. These little gizmos go a long
way in keeping the coach stable.

Those little aluminum castings next to them are bogey slot adapters
made by Ragusa. Jim K should have them. The stabilizers will work
better with them.

Thanks Bob,
I've kept the old rams. I still don't care much for Chinese
hydraulics though. I have a very old Heim Warner 4 ton, dual cyl.,
chassis jack and it is on it's 20th (est) year of faithful service.
It is very hard to find a good hydraulic jack anymore.

They are not impossible to get.
I have gotten parts from

The last time I needed a square o-ring for a jack I was repairing I
emailed them and got this reply:

However, with the low cost of jacks at Harbor Freight and other places
it might be cheaper to just buy one rather than the parts to repairs
an old one.
I checked for parts for an old Walker floor jack I had and it was
about $30 for a parts kit and I still would have a jack with worn out
wheel bearings, etc. and I would have the labor to fix it

It is!
That's why I'm on my third ram.
Blackhawk has great jacks and everything they make is rebuildable.
They are very expensive though so I'm betting that most of their heavy
sales are for industrial purposes vice the shade tree guys like us.

Rob,
I was wrong. The actual insert for the jack allows it to be extended
and additional 4 inches so what you read on the TSC site was correct.
Just got two new ones and noticed this when I assembled them.
