Could you have blown a fuse????? I think most converters are fuse protected.

Rich, have you checked the output on the converter? How do you know it is broke? I have a PD 9245 and the fan rarely runs but it works great.

I doubt there is a connection between the two. The Onan starter runs on DC and the converter runs on 120 vac.

What model converter?
Do you have 120 volts to the input of the converter?
Did you by chance trip the AC breaker that feeds the converter?

My 30 AMP converter quit working today. I don't know
if, when I wired the Onan starter, the converter's fan
quit working. I assume the converter is blown, could there
be any connection between the above.

The Converter is almost bullet proof on the 120vac side.
BUT if you reversed the DC leads, you may have blown the converter.

Try the converter with no load on a known dc source to see if it works.

confirm DC power to the converter with a meter.

You should get an answer one way or the other.

If you have power to the converter and did not have the leads reversed, you may have blown a fuse, or diode.

LarC ( Wiring problems do not seem to happen by themselves, usually the wiring has help getting into trouble )
