There ARE first weekends in May when you would NOT want to be at Bean

I thought it always rains on Bean Station weekends....................

Naah -- old wives tale. I don't remember but one rainy one -- but then, I
don't remember lots of stuff, especially unpleasant.

JR & Ken,

This time of year it's a crap shoot as to what the weather will be. If you need AC or electic hot water you could be in a world of hurt. It has rained for the past two years during the rally, but just plan that it will happen and it won't put a damper on the experience. Try to park the coach so when you leave you are not starting out on an uphill grade with wet grass. Last year we had a record cold snap. Folks were warned of the limited amount of power and not to even run their furnaces. Some did and overnite tripped out the transformer to about 25-30 coaches. Take an electric blanket and at nite you'll stay warm (and everyone else will too). In my mind Bean Station is civilized boon docking and a great place to be. I love it.

Bean Station does not seem to show up on any of the calendars. It would seem it is about the time we are planning to start a Blue Ridge Parkway tour in early May.

Where do I find out more about it??

Hal,

Have question for you. Will using just the grease zerk in the Wallace hub
lube the original bearing set in the knuckle? Or would it be preferred to
have the additional zerk like in the photo below.
