Monday, about 100 miles from home I noticed my GEN light on, but very dim. Made it home, checked the alternator, working great, putting out 13.8. Let it sit for four days, battery had a full charge. What's up???

13.8 volts on the alternator output is too low. It should be around 14.7 volts. You can measure it at the center terminal of the isolator. The top and bottom terminals of the isolator should read around 14.0 volts.
