Bob

I've used Bosch for the last 7 or 8 years...the same ones..<g> Very
dependable. I had planned to use E-3's (E52), but found an attitude problem
with the company.
This may get you there:

Do you want me to get you eight of them and mail them to you?

How big of a rush are you in for them?
I'll be up there on the second week of July if the feds do not loose my passport renewal. I just realized it expired in January and I just mailed in the renewal last week.

Ken,

When I travel to the USA the airline asks me if I have a visa for the USA. I
tell them that I am a dual citizen and they ask to see my US Passport and
that's that. I show my Australian passport to Aussie Immigration on the way
out and my US Passport to US Customs on the way in to the USA.

Last year when I traveled to the USA I did that and was in the middle of the
Pacific when I decided to fill out the US Customs and Immigration card. I
got out my US Passport and noticed that it had expired! I got worried but
then figured that I could always enter the USA on my Aussie Passport.
Besides I was a US Citizen so where would they deport me to?

When I arrived in San Francisco I approached the first Customs Officer (CO)
I saw and asked what I should do. He told me that by law I must use my US
Passport to enter the USA. I did that and the CO that processed me told me
that people arrive from overseas with expired passports all the time and
that all I had to do was get a new one before I left the country.

The problem is I mailed my, Laurie's, and Heather's (my daughter) old passports into the Passport Office with our renewal applications. So I have no passport to show them.

I also applied for a passport card. It can be used to enter and exit the US by boat and car to other North American countries. That means primarily Canada and Mexico. I haven't figured out if it is good by for entrance by private aircraft. I think not.

I talked to a customs agent I know and he said they are still allowing citizens to enter (with a warning) without a passport. The problem is Canada will not allow us to enter without a passport or border crossing card. They are afraid the US will not take us back and they will be stuck with us.

I just hope this agency is not as screwed up as the Census Bureau. You should see what is going on in our county. They lost ALL of the street address information for the county so they are knocking on every door in the county. It makes no difference if you mailed in the form or not. It was suppose to take them 2 months to complete. We are now guessing they will be done by Christmas. I have two friends working for them knocking on doors. They are finding about 10% of the people home. The Census Bureau has not figured out that they would have better success if they went out in the evening. People in this county work for a living and are not home during the day.

Thanks Ken - but I've managed to track them down at Piston Ring in Winnipeg. Since I'm on my way there today anyway that solves the problem. I have a Dick Patterson wireset to install and wanted to do the plugs at the same time. Too bad I wasn't smart enough to have picked them up last time I was in Minot. They probably would have been half the price.

Speaking from the good ol' days of motorcycle racing I can assure you
that Champion spark plugs have the highest failure rate. NGK or Bosch
will give you better service. Granted this is just an opinion based on
watching our guy, in the lead of the last moto and the plug fouls out.
Go for the big bucks and get the best. It will show on your gas
milage................Terry

We just went through the income tax filing, they know who you are, how many kids, wife, divorced, probably the color of your undies.

Why can't they tap that data and leave us alone?
