We are planning our first trip out of Florida and the second day will be from the Gainesville, Florida area to R Shaefer Heard Campground near West Point, Ga.
IYO, which route is the best from I75 West, Ga520/US82 or US280/520 or perhaps another route that you might think better?
Appreciate your thoughts
Richard

Richard,

As far as the road quality is concerned either will be pretty good but 280
out of Cordele is probably better than 82 because of Albany traffic. Plus,
it brings you within 5 miles of us in Americus.

When will you be coming this way? If we're here, we'd be glad to have you
stay here: We have full hookups here or at the family farm 12 miles west
(almost on your route to Columbus). It's about 110 miles from here to your
proposed destination.

Thanks for the info and your kind offer Ken, we have reservations for Thursday the 22nd at Heard. Then on Friday up to Calhoun for the Rally.
A little nervous seeing as this will be our first real trip, (plan to go as far as Bowling Green Ky) believe the Coach is ready, not a burp in the 1500 miles we have driven so far.
Going to d/l the Black list today <bg> trusting that I will not need it.

If you get to Americus with enough slack time to swing by, call me on 2 two
9 nine 3 8 27nine 7. We're just a short jog up US19 when you cross it on
280. Otherwise, we'll see you at Calhoun, GLW&CDR.
