I have two broken drawer catches, you know, the brass ones with
springs and balls that have a set screw in the end? I cannot find
them in any hardware store.
Does anyone have any they have removed or know where I can get some of these?
TIA,

The latches on my '77 Palm Beach are different
than the ones in the link.
Suppose that would make any difference?
Thanks

You can adjust the tension with the set screws which is nice on these
latches if you have a heavier drawer. The 2" long ones would probably do us
for most applications/

My SOB Safari had those things all over the place. You might as well take a
day to go around loosening the set screws, putting a drop of LockTite or
SuperGlue on them, and readjusting them. Otherwise they'll shoot all over
the coach as you vibrate down the road.

Where are they in the store?
I did a search and can't find them, Rockler doesn't have "catches", and I
could only find a single ball latch.

Thanks Gary and others. It's going to be a mail order deal as going
to Phoenix for anything is like driving to Barstow from Quartszite for
a fuel pump. BTW,I was there and they did it in 30 minutes :>)

WW Grainger has them. Prices range from just over $4 to $58.75 (stainless).
Part numbers are 4EVL-4, -5, -6, -7, 8. Grainger has stores in Phoenix,
Gilbert, and Tucson. Check their on line catalog and search by any of those
part numbers. Glenn

Thanks Glen,
Just got finished ordering them and they're exactly what the factory
used in my '76.

Thanks, Jim, I searched for double ball catches, cabinet latches, cabinet
catches, and got only a few hits, mostly dust collectors and other
non-related things. their search engine didn't recognize the latches or
catches part of my search. guess I supplied too much information.
Just latch or catch got lots of pix, among them, the double ball you
supplied
Thanks,
Ron C

Mike,
The Rokler site had exact replacements. In all these years, I only
have two bad. I found the balls and springs a long time ago but
didn't know where they came from. A hard left turn told the rest of
the story.
