Several days ago there was a good discussion on the variety of new rear suspension systems available. Thanks to those that have provided us with great options, they are to be commended for their hard work.

Now, the rest of the story: how many of you know how it all started. The link below shows the first, a hydropneumatic suspension and the first air bag design (3 photos).

Interesting that the prototype had 5-lug wheels.

Those were Toronado wheels, one of the first things to go when testing began.
