Does anyone know who mfg the GMC M/H wheel covers?
If not, do you know of any company that could straighten them?
I have about 40 of them that I don't really like to sell because of the dents, but they would be astonishing without the dents and polished out.
Many people do not want and/or cannot afford Alcoas so there is a market. The plastic covers are nice-for awhile until the new begins to wear off with road chemicals, this green oxidation that creaps in and curb damages......Thx, Michael GEMRECS

Michael: use to around here we could take stuff to Petros prison and inmates would spend days with spoons smoothing out stainless trim for cars, but alas the state closed the facility. There might be a place close to you? It is an art.

Rubber mallet, something with a curve and hard rubber underneath, lots of
little pecks and it all comes out. How well is determined by the level of
patience of the holder of the small, rubber mallet. I've pecked out several
on one of my wheelcovers that's now on the spare tire.
It's worse than making horseshoes but the same principle applies. Some nice
mold and stamping equipment would be nice but the equipment is probably long
gone or forgotten.

Throw them noisy rusty old things away.
Call Jim B and get his plastic ones. they are chromy looking and resemble the Alcoa rims. They don't make noise when you go down the road either.
and they are easier to clean then the Alcoas

I* don't know much about taking care ofwheel covers as I can never keep them long enough for damage to become a problem. I've owned my GMC for 10m years (+ or _) and haqve gone through at east 18 covers and a set of non GMC covers in 20,000 miles. Only highway driving. Am now riding on 3 GMC 's and 2 off breeds and one naked wheel. I NEED GOOD REPLACEMENTS that stay on.

I had my plastic covers from Jim B for a few years, no curb rash or surface damage from road salts in that time, nice and shiney, and as I said, they mimic the look of the alcoas.
A big Plus was if you lost one, they were cheap enough to just buy another....

I found that the wheel weights interfered with getting a good "grip" out of
the covers. Also, the steel wheels weren't the best to allowing a good hold
from the wheelcover.
I have a set of the blingy things that look like Alcoas. I don't need them
since I bought American Eagles.
The blingy things looked nice sitting still. I lost a few and gave up. So, I
sprayed the wheels with silver paint (after some sanding, etc.) and just
lived with it that way. The paint didn't effect the ride. Silver does beat
white or black, however.

Tape on the hubcap teeth gets rid of the click click? OK what kind of tape, how much and how to apply? Driving by a block wall with the windows open sounds like a ratchet,,, almost embarrassing. I know it's the hubcaps cause if I take them off, no click click.
