[GMCnet] Looking for photos of model names [message #78813] |

After getting inquiries from a few people, Išve decided to render the model
names and make them available as scalable vector graphics. Getting them into
an SVG format means you can take the file I'll provide to a vinyl sign maker
and get some "decals" made in your choice of color, etc.
I've come up with the core font that GMC used. However, I still need some
good photos so I can be sure to render them correctly (varies spacing and
other unique characteristics different from the standard typeface).
I have good photos of Eleganza, Palm Beach, Glenbrook, Kingsley, Royale, and
Birchaven. I don't have good photos of the other names. In particular, I'm
looking for Painted Desert right now. I don't have Glacier, either.
If you want to paint your coach in platinum and blue tones it would be easy
to do Lake Placid since it was done in the Bodoni Swashes typeface.
Any leads on photos would be appreciated. I'll complete the project some
time before Memorial Day and after taxes and ES rally are over.

Bryon,
I have been doing some of this, too and I have a vinyl cutter
and have cut some logos already.

Didn't know that. Now I do. Are you referring to the GMCers and other
things. I have the source file on GMCers.org. Did it in Illustrator. I've
done Royale but have request for Palm Beach, Painted Desert and Kingsley.

I know a fellow like that. He put his teeth on the nightstand and hasn't
seen them since.

The Glacier decal was not just a FONT. It has a artistic ( rough ) pic portrayal of a Glacier as well.
i am recovering from a hard drive crash but I have the pic some fine GMC owner sent me. When I find it I can send it to you for your perusal.
It wont be as easy as duplicating a Font if you want the graphic too.
Let me know if you are interested.
