I have one gray one in my truck since we got them. Still comfy, but as most lower line cars leather seats, they don't have that nice leather smell any longer. There is also some staining from my blue jeans. My colleague who put a tan set in his Bronco last summer has the same problem. I'd bet a good wipedown with leather cleaner would take care of it however.
The ones in my coach are still too little used to tell.

Over 10,000 miles with the Honda seats. No complaints. Really comfortable and still looks good. When camped, I swivel the seat and it becomes my "perch" to read, use computer, and watch TV. Very satisfied.

i like mine. i wish i had mounted them a bit lower. good firm support if you like that. a friend has a set of Flexsteel seats that are very soft and comfortable but are really expensive.

Mine have been in for about 5,000 miles. All but 400 miles of that was for a trip from Michigan to California. Driving nearly straight through, it took us 52 hours to get out there and slightly more to get back. My brother and I switched off driving, and we agree that the seats are very comfortable. I'll be getting two more in the future to replace the seats at the table behind the passenger seat.

Randy, you probably could retain the slant bases, and use some half inch steel pipe nipples as stand-offs to level the seats out. These seats need to be mounted on a flat level surface.

I think the main reason for modification is because the slant bases are way too high. The back of the base is high so when you mount the seats level they are way too high. George had the slant bases on his '74 and this is what we did to modify the base. <http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/showgallery.php?cat=5288>
We essentially cut a section out of the middle then welded the top and bottom back together. The seats are now very comfortable.

Bob,
The seats are from the middle row. They have been taken out by companies that are converting the Oddessy for Handicap use so the middle seats are removed and discarded (well, sold). Chris found some in Phoenix area that were being sold at a very reasonable price. Others have found good deals elsewhere, ebay, Craigslist, etc.

The bottom of the stock seat is just as flat as any other seat, isn't it? Can you disassemble the Honda seat to the point where you are similar to a stock seat configuration?
( I always thought the slanting of the base was a little stupid: If you're short, you need to go up, not down as you move forward)

You'd have to mount them to the metal crossmembers. bolting them to the wood floor may not be strong enough. If you are not interested in swiveling at all, you could stand them off somehow with steel pipe. (I know that steel pipe works well for seats. I raised the back of some car seats 2" this way once.)
I have a friend who is a welder and he could make or modify the bases for you. he is reasonable. He does work for us at the shop.

I want the ability to re-install the stock seats (which are unfortunately in perfect shape, but really uncomfortable) should I decide to sell someday (not all cemetaries can accomodate a plot big enough for a GMC). Since the seat belts are what hold me in, the seat mounts need only be strong enough to not break out with normal wear and tear.
By normal, I mean a big fat guy getting in and out, of course.
