Dan,
That was just what I thought also, why having four inverters drawing standby
current , when One would could handle the load.
My Project failed because my Refrigerator wouldnt operator on a Modified
sign Wave Inverter even with a Transformer to feed it.
If I hadnt checked the Compressor before the install ,I would have thought
everthing was ok
Look guy's if you use an Inverter to Power your Refrigerator ,pull it out
and check the Temperature of the Compressor.if it is hot, you got a
problem.and it will fail prematurally, and you have to buy a new one.
If you install a Pure Sign Wave Inverter ,you will not destroy Devices ,that
cant tolerate Modified Sign Wave inverters.
Just my 2 cents

Jesse, I was of that mindset until I got my shunt fed meter for the solar
setup. Changed my mind in a hurry. I have a bunch of the little ones I no
longer use. The thing is, they draw so much just idling. I have a 2000 watt
Vector that idles along at less than 1/2 amp. The little suckers were
drawing as much or more than it does. Have 4-5 of them plugged in at once
and you can see what I am talking about. It is easy to put a 2-3 amp draw on
your batteries and you do not even realize it. My advice is to get one that
will do all that you need.
