The PO modified the tv stand so it was hinged, and then added a hook/eye
to hold it up to the ceiling.

Thank you for the pictures.

Interesting installation. The hook/eye is a simple solution. I'm not very "keen" on drilling holes through the roof -- for anything.

A good adhesive should be able to hold the mounting blocks to the underside of the front cap.

One more idea to think about....
