Wish I could go to GMCES rally, you all should go....

Two of the greatest engine builders for our coaches will be there

Mondello,and Patterson
Someone has to ask them each, why they build 455s and not Cads....

this will be a great rally

I don't remember his specific response, but when I talked to him right
before he got his GMC, his comments about my Cad plans were all positive.

Gene-
For those who may not know, Joe reorganized his business such that a
partner is running his California shop, bought 17 acres in Tennessee for
a new shop, survived some nasty surgery and a major infection that would
have killed most men, then flew to California to pick up a GMC-TZE,
drove it to Canada to pick up a toad and back home to Tennessee. He has
been in Hawaii for a few weeks, resting up.

We have arranged for Joe to do a 2 hour Technical Seminar on Saturday
morning complete with slides, photos, additive products and parts. It
took an hour on the phone for him to explain what he was going to talk
about. I learned a lot. For beginners, we should avoid pistons and
rings made in India due to poor metals and bad tolerances. Joe's
engines perform and last because he blueprints everything and coats all
moving parts with special coatings.
I'm doing the slides for him and I promise it will open some eyes.

Chris-
We discussed that a little but it depends on several factors including
the lighting in the facility and what material he may want to protect.
Why not just join us and then you can hit Bean Station a few days later?
If this goes well, we may invite him to do an encore presentation at the
GMCMI-ES meeting in Du Quoin IL in Sept.

Hoverboards are the only way to get around a rally.

Does that mean you hit the lottery and now plan to attend the GMCES rally?
I promise that I'll leave my sat dish at home.

I might be able to pull a Ken Burton thing and sleep in Teri's car. I doubt I drive the coach over there, just too far @ present time. We will see what transpires. You make me feel "needed", ha.

It is nice to see Joe on the circuit again. I was successful in getting him to provide a seminar at the GMC Western States rally in Desert Hot Springs in April of 1996. At that time Joe had a motorhome supplement catalog but not the motorhome.
Some may have forgotten the specifics of the rally because of the 100 plus heat. Joe does an excellent job. Without handouts it can be a bit of an overload.
Wish I could be there
