The price is OK. About what it ought to be since a replacement will be
coming within a few months. Fire sale always means something's new around
the corner. Still, it'll meet the needs of 95% of those on this list that
have a USB tongle that connects to a service provider and you want to share
that internet connection in the coach.
If you only have one laptop in the coach, this is of no use unless you have
a lot of company over for parties.

Dan was it you, or do you remember the comment that the 350 had a feature the 500 doesn't. Or do I have that wrong?

Thanks Dan Great comparison.
The 720 Aircard is powered by its USB connection right? So either Cradlepoint on battery or 12v power adapter is powering both?
Sure enjoy all your communication.

There are differences between the 300 and the 350. Woot has the PHS300. Dan
pointed to the CTR350 at the 3G Store. These are not the same product.
Similarities --
- Both have AC adaptors. Both can take a 12v adaptor that is available
separately (and prices vary widely).
- Both will work with tethered cell phones.
- Both are only 802.11 B & G devices.
Differences --
- Only the PHS300 is battery powered for true portability.
- The CTR350 must be connected to a power source to function.
- The PHS300 works with a broader range of broadband-enabled USB cellular
data devices. For instance, the Virgin Mobile USB device for pay-as-you-go
service (no contract, no monthly fee).
- The 350 has an Ethernet port that can be configured as a WAN or LAN port.
This means you can use it at home to connect to your cable or DSL modem.
Summary --
If you want to work with a broad range of USB devices to connect to the
Internet via 3G cellular service AND operate via battery (away from the
coach or the house), the I suggest the PHS300.
If you what to work from home connected to cable/DSL or on the road through
some type of 3G cellular service, then go for the less expensive CTR350.
I suspect that both devices will be revved to support N now that the
standard has been ratified for some time.

You are correct Don. 6 volts runs both. I plug into 12 with a good adapter that can not be easily bumped to change voltage. Needs a screwdriver to change voltage. At home, I run it on the 6 volt ac adapter. Works great for us. I enjoy the external wifi antenna jack and sometimes use it to get my little laptop farther away from the coach or car. Without antenna it is good for about 50 feet, wifi.
