Ok yall, this is right around the corner. I am not hearing much chatter about it. Don't have a clue how many have signed up, not hearing from Ray. He must be a very busy camper about now. The date is just a hair over two weeks away. If you want to see Jim K. take that 100 bux back from Frank Jenkins you better show up. Grace is riding with Jim again. Why, I am not sure. Anyway, we will hook up with Jim at Lordsburg, somewhere around the 14th or 15th and come racing in. Will be my first time to see the area. Have always wanted to visit Houston. We hope to see a lot of first timers again. Was blown away by all of them that came to Pueblo. Should anyone want to see if they can keep up with Jim and me, plant yourself on I-10 to meet us as we pass by.
Hope to see all of you there. All first timers, make sure you stop by Jim K's table and visit with Teri and me. I will tell you all about our new engine and Manny tranny experiences.

You are going to have a great time. The facility is very nice and the Texans are the greatest. Mary and I had a wonderful time there a few years ago. I will not make that one but I will be at Bean Station. Safe travels.

For those that have time to enjoy their GMC on the way to Montgomery, there are many, many things to see and do.
The first rest stops as you enter the state on every Interstate have a thick magazine listing things in every imaginable little town. And a huge stack of brochures can be found for whatever interests you. Many of those towns have a great place to eat, some have a free overnight RV park. Antique auto museums, GEMRECS, geocaching, NASA, bluebonnets, wildlife refuges, shopping malls, yada yada yada.
Welcome, come and enjoy.

Dan,
After Montgomery make sure you head down to my ole stompin' grounds south of
Houston for a visit to the Johnson Space Center. I can assure you'll enjoy
it.
While you're there go over to Kemah and go for wander around the boardwalk.
http://www.kemahboardwalk.com/flash_content/flash_content.html
As far as eating at the boardwalk goes Helen and I enjoyed the meal we had
at Landry's last summer.
http://www.landrysseafoodhouse.com/
Mario's Flying Pizza has been making great pizza's since I worked there in
the 1970's! The Seabrook location was blown away by Ike but is back!
http://www.ilovemariosflyingpizza.com/home.html
If you want some GREAT BBQ head for T-Bone Tom's it too has been rebuilt
since Ike.

Finally if you want to "do it yourself" buy some shrimp at Rose's Seafood in
Seabrook (just up the road on the other side of the bridge from Kemah).

Have a great trip!

Martha and I are planning to get there early enough to see other roll in.
It'll be our first time at an MI event. I want to be there to ramp up for
the Du Quoin event in September. (By the way, I just wrote the chamber to
clarify whether it's Du Quoin or DuQuoin -- signs about with both. Folks in
some parts of Illinois have difficulty with French.)
By the way, I'll be doing a presentation Ray has entitled "WiFi for
Dummies". It'll be for users of computers regardless of your preferred
operating system (or the one you're stuck with).

Rob,
I heard a tall tail about you..
Is it true that you were the guy at NASA that was depicted in the
movie where you come storming in with all the parts that the
astronauts can utilize to make that filtering system to save
themselves?
If you are that person, I now understand that they did a good job of
portraying you..

Bryon,
If you see an Ornamental smiling like a Possum eating Sh_t. You can
conclude that I finally made it to the convention in my GMC.
It has been over 4 years since I made it to the convention in our coach.

Bryon,
I will stop at a costume place and send it to Dan. He has been around
m enough to put on a great act.
Dan,
I'll let Grace drive, but I'm warning you, she is an Oriental, she
scares me as she drives it fast.

Yes, Carol and I have been like one armed paper hangers. The convention is
shaping up very nicely. We have a GREAT place to have it, lots of good
seminars, good food, and plenty of camaraderie! Billy put the tentative
schedule on www.gmcmi.com . There are some good new seminars, and a number
of the old standby favorites like Dave Lenzi's and Dick Paterson's. If any
of you want to come without your motorhomes, they have some very nice cabins
on the grounds for $89/night (normally $149) for a one bedroom, and $139 for
a two bedroom. Saturday and Sunday, we will have a full schedule of
seminars since the rally starts on Friday this time. A number of people are
taking advantage of coming over the weekend that could not otherwise make
it.
The rest of you had better have your Pineboxes in shape as the Classics have
been practicing with our track all winter. I am told the fastest one is a
lady driver! The Great Lakers will have an opportunity to do the same
before DuQoin.
Carol and I are planning to leave Indiana on the 9th (one week!) so we can
get there a bit early to take care of some of the remaining details before
we start setting up on Sunday the 14th. So there is still time to send in
your registrations if you haven't already done so. Anybody registering
after the ninth should call me on my cell at 574-457-6448 to make
arrangements.
I think JimK is hedging his bets on his motorhome making it or not...still
don't have a registration from him{:>) I'm not REAL sure he has a motorhome
as we have never seen it{:>)
Hope to see many of you there.

Thanks Ken. At least I have one witness that I have one.
I cannot believe that my exaust parts that were coated with extra high
temp ceramic was not shipped out as promised.
It sure did not go to the lowest bidder. Next time I'll go to the
lowest bidder and gripe.

I was just pulling your chain a little in the posting. When I saw your coach just prior to the Santa Rosa rally, Walt was playing with the FI programming just outside your shop door. He kept changing FI parameters causing all of the rough running.
