With consideration for Ken Henderson advise about the horn installation, the most authentic GMC steering wheel I have seen is from the mid to late 70's GMC pick up or Jimmy. It has two spokes slanted down and a GMC logo in the middle. I took the one off my 78 Jimmy because it was like new and got another from the wrecking yard to replace it for $20. I used an old style leather cover that you lace up and it looks like a factory leather covered steering wheel.

I used a Buick Turbo Regal wheel from the 80s. 3 spokes (stainless)at 3 6 9 and thick with real leather. The brown is an exact match to the dash.

Rich,

Most steering wheels from GM vehicles from the seventies through the eighties and early nineties until airbags took over will fit. Some look better than others, of course. The 4-spoke wheel from the Chevy S-10 from that era looks good. There are others from GM vehicles that look good, as well. I had to stop customizing wheels for our coaches because some of the parts for the wheels that I used were no longer available.
