On the maiden voyage home with my 76 PB last November, I stopped at a truck scale and weighed each wheel. Lots of variation, from a low of 1650# (LF) to high of 2000# (RF). Now I'm looking at the recommended tire pressure table from
http://gmctech.net/tires.htm#Load
and it seems to be telling me that I should inflate my left front tire to 45psi (=40 from the table + 5 safety margin for RV's per discussion) and the right to 60psi (=55+5). Is that really what I should do???

Inflate the tires in pairs taking the heaviest weight per axle. The fronts in your example should be 60.
Were there people in the coach at the time you weighed it? If so where were they sitting. If not, where will they be sitting when you drive the coach. I can see how you can easily add 200 pounds per tire up front when people are in there.

Jay,
I agree with Emery that you need to do a complete ride height adjustment
because you're "teeter-tootering" on diagonally opposite incorrectly
adjusted suspensions.
But, in the meantime, DON'T set different tire pressures on the left and
right on the SAME AXLE. That's the small print on all the tire pressure
tables: If there's a side-to-side difference in weights on an axle, use the
higher pressure on both sides.

Bruce,
I'm thinking that it would be best to weigh the coach as it is going
to be operated. Tanks at normal capacity, passengers and gear etc.
The ride height must be properly adjusted though if this is going to
work. Emery is correct. Check out Gene's site for some useful info
on how to properly set ride height. A real PITA but once it's done,
it's done for a long time.

In otherwords an unloaded suspension in order to get the true weight at each wheel. Then the suspension needs to be adjusted to put the same weight on each wheel, combined with the proper ride height.

Jay,
Was this before we found the shut off valves on your bags shut off? You may want to remeasure with them open and the air system in travel.
Until then put the same pressure on both sides of the same axle. 60 to 65 in the fronts and 55 to 60 in the rears.

I appear to have problems with the leveling system. The valves may be frozen or plugged closed, because I get no up/down movement when manually actuating the pump. The pump comes on, but nothing moves at the wheel. Not exactly sure how to troubleshoot the problem. Thought about pulling air lines off and seeing which ones blow air. Any risks or tips?
