Jim,
These are the Basic Maintenance manuals that were sold by Cinnabar
and an original GMC 1976 supplement manual

We have several, but we have not found that operation.

Charles,
I have a set just that if you have a set in the workshop and one set in the
house and you keep it that way then the set in the house always stays in
good readable condition and the worshop ones get tatty and oily etc.
So at $40 plus freight it was doable.

My thoughts would be to get the DVD, with all the manuals, and printout new pages -- as needed -- for the shop.

Unfortunately the DVD's made in the US won't work in Australia. I guess this is still true. When I was over there I bought a couple and when I got back to the US, nothing worked.

Data DVD's don't care what country they are made in. It is just data.
Commercially produced Video DVD's CAN (and usually are)
region coded to prevent playing in other countries.

Those were probably VIDEO DVD's which were for the Austral - Asian region:

Or they were recorded in the PAL format:

You may be able to make your DVD play them anyway, check this link:

It is a data DVD, not a video DVD, and is not protected by any CSS
scheme. The PDF docs open normally and the video snippets play fine.

Bill Not necessarily, could very well be saturation of the market by the DVD. It is a lot easier to carry the DVD and your laptop than the manuals.
Not that I have gotten rid of the paper manuals I have, they are up on the shelf.

I use them both. Disk in the house and manuals on the road.
Setting up the lap top on the road is a little inconvenient
sometimes. Plus the manuals on disk are a really good
deal. Very reasonable for what you get.
