We are making some improvements to the interior of the coach durning these winter months. New carpet, painted dash, some upholstery work and new dash stereo.
I am looking at a model with a screen that has a rear view camera capability and was wondering what the other GMCnetters had along these lines. Any pros and cons on cameras?
Also, I was looking at the back of the coach and trying to determine a good location for the camera. Mounting either off the ladder towards the center of the coach or above the spare tire looked like some decent options.
Any opinions?

Jim, I do have a newer wireless camera and got it through Sam's.
It has a 7 inch display and I turn it on when I leave the house and the off when I stop for the night or get to a rally. The camera mounts on the license plate and gives an excellent picture. I paid $79.00 for it, but I think they may have stopped selling it. Maybe this transmitter won't show my camera's picture on your display at Bean Station now.

I have a Sanyo CCA-BC200. It's about 1" square and connects with a 1/8"
diameter wire to a small control box. I mounted it over the rear window in
the center of the coach. It has the capability of inserting lines on the
viewing screen showing 2, 4, and 8 foot distances from the rear of the
vehicle as well as sidelines showing the width of the coach. I connected
this to a 7" Pile flat screen monitor mounted with velcro above the drivers
visor. It works quite well in daylight or when illuminated only by the
backup lights.

I put that one on my truckEmery, and it always had some kind of
intereference thing going on. It's somewhere in the shop in a
cabinet. May have been something with the truck (diesel), I don't
know. For hooking up my trailer I picked up one of those swift hitch
magnetic mount cameras with a hand held display. Beautiful picture
and sure makes hooking up with the truck or motorhomes an easy process
when alone.
I did have a rear view camera mounted inside the rear window with a
monitor on the dash but eventually removed it. Once you've watched
your towed following you for a few miles, it gets rather boring.

Gene,
Say it isn't so. That is what was part of the charm and fun at Bean Station or any other Dixielander Rally. ....I could tell before even checking in where ya'll were. gon'a miss that.
