Looking for information on the upcoming Bean Station Rally. Anyone here know where I can get the dates and Fee schedule for it?
We wanted to go to the Brooksville Rally this past week but it was not to be. I am quite concerned with the left airbag and would like to change over to one of the newer systems before we go anywhere else. Just not sure which system to buy.

You need to contact or join the Dixielanders. It is their rally.
They are a great bunch of people.
I believe John Nicholls is Membership Chairman. His phone number is on the Blacklist. He is in Florida. I do not like posting private phone numbers here so please look on the black list.
Bean Station is a great gathering.

Jim Galbavy wrote on Sun, 07 February 2010 16:05 | Ken is correct. You need to be a member of the Dixielanders to attend because of limited space and power hookups. It wouldn't be fair to bump a dues paying member in order to accommodate a guest at a club rally.

Correct me if I am wrong but the dues are only $10.00 or $20.00

Its $10. I've been a member for sieven years now and I've been
wanting to get to the Bean Station rally for the last 7 years but
something else was always in the way in that time slot.
Perhaps this year.

I realize that that Jim.
I was just suggesting that people going to Bean Station ought to consider joining the club. The fee is cheap and the Dixielanders are a great bunch of people. My posting was mostly an advertisement for them.
I could not remember how much is was. I thought it was only $10.00. I know the rally is not advertised to non-members due to the limited space but I have never heard of or seen any non-member turned away.
Also who can argue with the rally fee. If barely covers the food and electricity expense.
I have been there the last few years. I only once brought my coach. The rest of the years I stayed with other people or in the motel in town. The motel in town is also very inexpensive.
I go to help other people work on their coaches, associate with a great bunch of people, and to enjoy the scenery. It is a great week or week end. I also learn a lot about GMCs by watching others work on their's.

Perhaps I could serve a simple dish of the Dixielanders and Bean Station via a simple video or two taken by a neophyte videographer, …me.

My wife and I definitely look forward to being at Bean Station this year, as I learned a few more button to push on my camera. Some how, showing up at Bean Station in the Spring, tells the world you’ve made it through the Winter.

It’s hard for me to even imagine owning our unique ‘Rocinante’ without the help of this forum, its leaned members, the Dixielander’s, …and Bean Station. This is not the rally to miss if you’ve ‘got troubles’ and need a helping hand. My wife and I are there to get you coffee or water should you like, …and to bug you with my damned camera.

Along this train of thought, The Spring issue of the GMC Dixielander Newsletter will have the details on the Bean Station Rally (on the last page). However, the rally dates are the April 29 thru May 2, 2010. You may come a little early and stay a little late.
Dixielander dues are $10 per year, a bargain. Current dues paid members will be also receiving their personal copies of the membership list.

Howard,
Nice job!
For a neophyte you did a very good job with the editing and you captured the heart of GMC rallies - visiting with friends and eating! ;-)
Hmmm, and here I thought Bean Station was a WORK rally! ;-)
