Gary,

I did take steps to see if you were here.i did not see you as a member on gmc net.i do regret and am sorry i sent such a faul responce to you.i admit i sent a nasty msg but as i have also said i am getting spammed.most of the time you cant reply.so when i had an actuall email i seized the moment.i am new here perhaps i should of looked before i leaped.

i still consider his msg as "selling me something"i was pretty shocked that it appeared to me a fellow site user.someone selling me "pre paid legal services" to me is just that selling.if it was put online here i would of not acted in this manner. But i felt it was antempt to sell me something i am not interested in.but since he is a user here.i will apologize for my nasty msg.i miss took him for thease scammers spammers etc.

On my initial assumption i thought telling the site here would be useful.to the other members since i did think he was add or spam.

I guess i put my foot in mouth this time.i will leave the site if i am not wanted.i know when to go and may have not used the site correctly.i did say i was sorry and i admit this.i had no idea he actually was such a respected member.i thought he was just selling me something.

Sorry if i offended anyone.

We have all here put foot in mouth from time to time. It happens. I do agree with you that the sales tags ads have no place here on the forum or on e-mails.
Anything beyond your name, GMC model and general location is not necessary and in some cases is SPAM.

Apology accepted !!

Yes you offended me and apparently others.

In the future, don't ask for information, if you don't want it.

You might want to read every post very carefully. And by all means, read and re-read every reply carefully before hitting "send".

No one wants you to leave the net. No one that I know of anyway.

Now, how serious your posts will be taken in the future, I cannot say.

Enjoy the GMCnet.

I am sure that I can speak for everyone on the GMC net in that we
certainly DO NOT want you to leave.

There is room for all levels of knowledge here and part of the fun for
many of us is in passing on the information that we have gleaned from
our experiences and from information posted in the past on this site.
Stick with it and before long you will also be answering other peoples
requests for information. This certainly is a great site for learning
things about the GMC motorhome.
One problem that I have seen in years past is the tendency for newer
people to not ask questions because they are afraid of how they might
look to the veterans on the site.
I have seen the post from others many times that "there is no such
thing as a stupid question". Keep on posting and enjoy your GMC
experiences.

At times you might be a little offended as some of us have very little
tact or sometimes don't think about how our email replies may be
read. We have a remarkably low incidence of mud slinging on this site.

Hey stick around.

You did your research, found what you thought was a problem and let us know. If your conclusions had been correct we all would have been saying thanks. We have had a couple of these SPAM providers pop up in the past who were promptly removed.

I personally do not see this type of SPAM since I do not use email and SPAM is an Email phenomenon. The forum blocks viewing user email address for this very reason, but we still want to get rid of this type of activity on GMCnet for those who still use email.

Do not worry about what happened. I sure Gary was not happy but in a few days it will all be forgotten.

WHAT HAS PPL GOT TO DO WITH G M C ?
[Updated on: Fri, 05 February 2010 18:57]

olddog,

The way I see it GMCDUDE76 ask for a way to make money while traveling on the road.

Gary sent him a private email about selling prepaid legal services as he traveled around in his GMC. GMCDUDE76 thought it was spam trying to look legitimate by coming from the forum or email list. IT was a misunderstanding which is very easy to happen in the email type of communications.
In case there is any misunderstanding in my post "love and kisses" to all. LOL

PS:
Now my worry is how will this sound to someone reading it on the computer without knowing me or hearing the words as I say them.
I know that if we were sitting around a table I could say the above comment and get smiles and laughter. This is a big concern of mine when I have non verbal conversations.
