Gmcers,
The guy i listed and is Gary cottinggame i have never heard of
anyone with a last name like that for one.he setup an sheme to
act as a board member.i dont want to post or forward his advertisement in that it might get unsupecting customers.he proclained he was a board member.but he could hardly contact me off the board.yet he goes on to say hes semi retired and he must have an account here in someother name.i searched the members he is not listed.just be advised others have other motives to join this site then we do.
Here is his email as well.he wanted to sell me prepaid legal services.he tried to look as a member here and thought he could take advantage of that.i do get some spam or 419 nigieria stuff.like we want to transfer 100 million he is the king of nigeria.or some rich guy died and no other kin can be found.the best one yet is you won 100 million but we need 20,000 for the tax.i cant beleive folks fall for this.

There is indeed a Gary Cottingame that lives in Denison, Texas and I
know that he is a GMC owner and was a member of at least two GMC Clubs
for a number of years.
You don't say what he did or tried to do to / with you but you might
be misinterpreting his contact with you.
What membership list are you looking at?
Please send me a copy of his email to you and I will then give you my
opinion of what he has said.

USSEARCH site shows a Gary L. Cottingame, age 67, in Dension, Tx.
So he must be a real person.
Also, he joined in Jan.05 and has is on GMC photosite. Seems like a real GMC'er.
He's apparently just using bad judgement is trying to sell his services.

Hi All
Gary Cottingame has posted here numerous times over the last three or more
years.
Just because you got an email from someone with his name in the From line
does not mean it was him. It is trivial for someone to make an email
appear to come from someone other than themselves. I get numerous emails in
my spam filter that say I sent them, I may be a bit absent mined but I think
I would remember sending dozens of messages to myself.
Spammers do not use their own email address in the From line, they use a
name you hopefully will recognize and trust.
Gary did you send a private email to Gary Cottingame to confirm he had
actually sent the message before posting here?
If you didn't then your accusations are unfounded and very likely wrong.

There's one other thing possible here. Several email
providers add a URL at the end of each email sent from
their users advertising stuff. The user has absolutely
NO control over that, whatsoever.

It's good to see you back on the net. Hope you're regaining some good use of that hand and shoulder by now. I know how it is, I thought I'd never be able to raise my arm all he way up after my rotator cuff surgery.
I had hoped to make Montgomery this year in another GMC I'm trying to buy, but that seems to have gotten put back some. I went into the Dallas VA Hosp, the 4th of Jan for a simple colonoscpy and they botched it and ruptured it. After emergency surgey and removal of 1/3 of it, I'm here at the house trying to recuperate myself. If I get to feeling like it by March, I'll try to drive down to Montgomery and see some of my old friends.
