The deal I got last summer finding two Transmodes to add to my my storage nightmare is lots of parts and lots of options. The one transmode has two Honda EV6010's installed and Turtle my travel coach has the original Onan 6000, My delema is they all work great. Is the weight savings of the Honda (which is quite large) worth the switch?

You sure won't see it in mileage gains. If the Onan works and
satisfies your needs, why remove it?

Jay,

I totally agree with Steve. ....if it ain't broke.....
Be glad that you have three generators that are working well.
I had he 6K HONDA installed because the PO wanted a shiny clean generator when he put the GMC up for sale. ....soooo he steam cleaned and power washed the Onan shorting the whole thing out.
It would have cost as much in parts and labor to rebuild the old troll as it would to install a new HONDA. That was 5 years ago and the HONDA has never failed to start right up (and we use it hard). Most problems with the Onan or any generator is that most don't get started up and run under load often enough.

Keep the Onan in the coach, save one of the Honda's as a replacement for when the Onan dies... Sell the other Honda to someone here who needs it for a fair price. Just what I would do.

That makes the best sense, But the other one will stay in the (Unuter1)my Transmode to power the remaining 100 amp system which we really have no need to run with.

With the Honda already mounted into the coach, I would leave the Honda in place.  It sure is a good unit and in that you cannot buy one new any more I think long term you would be pleased you had the HOnda in it.  2 generators is a bit much unless you have a use for that much power, I would take the other one out and sell it and the Onan.  it is works and looks that good, someone should buy that.

I sure wish Honda still offered the 6010, it was an awesome generator,

You can find almost unused to well used units that had been installed in other (SOB) coaches. Some of the SOB's are now being scrapped. I saw a few Honda generators on Craig's list of varying levels of condition and price.

<http://carbondale.craigslist.org/grd/1547694763.html>
<http://houston.craigslist.org/rvs/1571374520.html>
<http://charlotte.craigslist.org/rvs/1579742202.html>
<http://sd.craigslist.org/tls/1568506269.html>

You might be able to find them at RV junkyards and the like.

As they are a good design, I wonder if there is a market for re-manufacturing them...
