HOW whats the trick?each time i have posted its over the size limit?even if i use picasa or photoshop and compress it to a min size it just wont let me post.yet i have seen photos on here.im gonna get mad and leave hehe.

Even though you can post pictures here BUT we have a problem. The email users on GMMCnet can not see the pictures you post. For this reason we do not normally post pictures. The work around for this email user problem is to only post text here and to post your pictures on the gmcmhphotos.com site. after uploading you pictures come back here and a link here to those photos.

It is a little kludgely but it does have the advantage of having your photos archived on a site that is specifically set aside for GMC photos.

Quick answer is, you don't.

This feature has been disabled. This server does't have the storage capacity to store pictures and there are many other photo sharing sites that are better suited for that. On top of what Ken B. mentioned about e-mail users not being able to see pictures if they were allowed.

You need to post your pictures on another website (like gmcmhphotos.com, or any other photo sharing site) and put a link to the picture in your post.

(only joking) Seriously, you have to upload images from your computer (unless they are already on the internet) to a site like Photobucket or Piczo and you can then copy the URL for them and post it on here via the Explorer user prompt box which will appear If you left click on the box which is to the right of the envenvelope one (with the red and checkmark on it)

What you are seeing is a linked photo. (those aren't uploaded to the forum website).

Look for "Formatting Tools:" when you create your post. The 9th icon to the right is the one you use use to "Insert an Image" (mouse over the icons to see the description).

Click on that icon and a pop-up box will prompt you for the image URL. Put the link to the image (JPEG file) in that input box.

NOTE: Email only users won't see the photo, but should have a text URL to the image in the e-mail, possible with some cryptic looking tags around the link.

Please listen to Batman (Eugene). He owns, runs, and pays for this site. If you do post a link to a picture as others have shown you how to do, the GMCnet emailers will never see it.

The emailers are 50% of the total GMCnet users. Also the email version of GMCnet is the base GMCnet site while the more advanced forum that you and I are using is a copy of the text only GMC mail list site. We have many more functions available but if you use them the emailers get left out.
