Just as most every Coach I have seen, mine has a Microwave. It works just great when on Shore power but the circuit is not hot at any other time, even with the Onan. Is this the way it is supposed to be or is mine wired incorrectly?

The short answer is - it is not wired correctly. The Onan should power all the 120VAC circuits. How it could not when shore power does, would be interesting to discover. ...

Richard,
Is it possible that someone had wired in a inverter to power one (or a few) outlet(s)?
The inverter may not be currently installed. They MAY have included a switch to switch the input from one input to another. I have heard of people using regular three way light switches to do this.... not that I recommend it!

Richard,
According to what has been noted on the GMCnet the amount of cooling
available in the 12 vdc mode is minimal.
It's a good idea to have your GMC on shore power so the fridge can cool down
before you put food in it and that the food / drinks are cold also.
If the fridge is a three way fridge the LPG mode provides the most cooling.

Subject: Re: [GMCnet] Microwave Outlet
I found a loose connection and after cleaning and tightened, the Microwave
now works on the Onan as well as Shore Power. I sure am glad that I
mentioned it, I was a little concerned with some of the responses. Happy
that it was nothing serious.
Checking the Refrig now to see that it works on 12V and 120 with the Onan as
well as Shore power, where it works so well that I have the T stat set on 3.
Freezes the beer in the door :d
Thanks again, perhaps my list will at some point get shorter instead of
longer?

Richard, it doesn't work that way. As the more important things drop off he list they will be replaced by others - from "she wants that" to "that would be neat" to "maybe next year".
My own list keeps getting longer all the time. And as if that wasn't bad enough, in a weak moment I bought a second GMC, with another list of to-do's.
