Woooo, It got a little rough here just before sunset on Thursday. The wind gusts were up to 60 mph here where Teri and I are parked. Just as it was getting bad this white Jeep came sliding up to our door and a fella bailed out. I thought it must be a drunk looking for cover. No, it was Doug Norton. I got our door open and he fell inside. I wondered where Irene was. Doug had forgotten her outside so Teri and I got her in the coach. So glad they came, we needed them to hold the coach in place as we watched all of the ham radio antennas break over in the wind.
The sun came out just before it was to set behind the mountains.
After dark I tried to make it up to Rice Ranch, no way, water was over 95. So, we are heading to town this morning to see what bargains might be left. Sun is out and the solar is charging.
We hope everyone survived.
Dan

Dan,

Glad to hear that you are OK there, I was very concerned for you two, and of course the others in the area. Here in the South East Phx metro mess it was very windy and a lot of rain. All the park water recharge basins are full to the brim, and it is still raining lightly. Many roads must be closed in this area, as the traffic on the road in front of the park is almost steady, where normally it is very light. This must be one way around the closures.

Stay put and regroup and dry out. I am glad you could offer help to others.

Hey Gene;

PoohBear is doing great. He just took me for a walk over to the
BusNuts area. There is some nice looking things over there. Will take
the camera with me a little later on and get some pictures. Will
probably be here a couple of days longer. Still need to buy beads for
Diana. Thanks for worrying about PoohBear. See you in Florence

Report from Russo & Steele auction site in Scottsdale.......
One of the big tents was blown away.........

Just got done watching the news,the 101 where the tent ended up is still closed and will be for several hours they said clean up crews are trying to clean up debris and they will try to report damage tomorrow morning as no one is being allowed into the area.The wind here was really howling over here on the NW side of town and we got the largest amount of the rain,the storm has moved to the east as of now.Interstate 40 is closed and I-17 20miles North of Phoenix is closed,Sky harbor airport has cancelled all takeoffs and landings.

Hollar at us if you need anything or yall have a get together tonite. We just got back from town. Traffic was too heavy to park anywhere. I hope to get to the Jetsetter gathering sometime this evening, when the traffic dies. Doug went to Tucson and is coming back Monday. We saw you as we came by in the car, just no parking place.
