Hey guys, I have a macerator on my 76 Palm beach. It has a single holding tank but the toilet is sometimes having difficulty draining, as though a pipe is clogged. When I step on the pedal, graywater is up to the flapper valve. This is with the holding tank completely drained! Any ideas?

Lance-
I don't know how long you have had your coach, but when I first got
mine, we had similar problems. Turns out, I though I was draining it
but later when crawling around underneath, I discovered a hidden slide
valve partially closed which the PO never mentioned. There's nothing
much to clog between the toilet and tank in most models.

Sometimes I have the same problem.
You can clean the tank (sort of) thru the toilet.
I use a garden hose with one of those everyday
guns/sprayer.
Wal-Mart also sells a unit with a nozzle that
screws on to your hose to do the same thing.
Make sure you have a fuse or circuit breaker
protecting the macerator; I burned mine up
while trying to un-clog the system.

Being that the toilet outlet is close to on wall of the tank, solis
pile up in that area.

Sounds like he has it stuck up in the pipe. If you catch it before it gets that deep a good trick is to fill the toilet bowl full of water and dump it fast. That normally will push everything away and let it flow. Happens when you sit in one spot too long or dont let enough liquid get into the tank. If the tank was actually that full it would have overflowed into your shower by now.Happens to everyone at least once.
