Hi everyone! Just picked up this 1977 GMC kingsley. I grabbed this for very CHEAP. I'm not sure the true value of this motorhome...any ideas? Bad advertising + uneducated seller = great deal for ME! Only 29,000 miles, interior in great condition with rear twin beds, full bath with shower stall; It's been sitting for a few years but it seems everything works, new tires and batteries but just some minor issues to work through. The Vin sequence is # 100001 which I'm assuming means it was the first 1977 produced. I bought it and put it straight into storage last week. I will be driving it 150 miles to bring it home to Vallejo next week... any advice for the first trip home? Thanks guys!

Hello,
Looks like a nice one you might see if its in the gmc registry
and find out more about it.is it missing the rear glass window or is that some camera effect it looks like it dosent have the rear window just a curtain?but it might just be the camera angle?

Hello,
David Greenburg runs and opearates the gmc registry it is a
website that keeps track of the ones still on the road and
the build dates etc.interesting window cover it looks like its just a curtian!kinda tricky to the human eye lol.

If you're in northern California, you should probably get acquainted with JimK @ Applied GMC. He's very knowledgeable and has any parts or services you might need. JimB @ GMC Coop in Orlando, Florida is another great source of information and parts, but on the wrong coast for you.

Hey
I noticed on the drivers side of your gmc below the mirior is that
a spot light or another mirior it looks like a light?it also appears to have a light on the front grill?

Welcome. Like when getting any used vehicle you sometimes have to decipher what the PO was thinking on some of the mods. A lot of us have to circumvent and go back to OEM as a new baseline. It looks from you signature your a car guy. I'd just go over all the things made of rubber (belts, hoses including brakes and fuel flexy areas that are not steel) and grease the front end and the rear bogies and check /change all the fluids. I for one don't trust the new API SM oil in old engines so I like many otheres here add a ZDDP additive like ZDDPlus to protect cam and lifters from scuffing. I think that yours won't present some of the headaches worse condition coachs have survived.

Save your dash wiring, if you don't have the APC addition for the motor generator, get it. I think it is only $30 but you won't burn out your wiring under the dash board.
