Matt,
I have sent lots of things to Canada. SEND THEM US POST OFFICE. They will go by air to Vancouver where the plane will circle around for about 7 days and then they get handed to Canada Post where they go by ground from there. Value them at around $5.00 or not more than $10.00 on the declarations form and call them "antique auto parts, 1973 Oldsmobile". He will get them that way without import duty and no brokerage fees.
