Cooper description says the silicone mix in the rubber makes a softer compound for a quieter ride...seems to me that would make them wear out quicker, but that's not really a problem for most RV'ers. I'll never wear out the new ones I got before the planet and entropy reclaim them, unless I mess up the alignment.

Three and a half years into my Coopers, I can't tell any wear. They'll die of rot long before they give out of trad. They do ride well.

Johnny,
How many miles do you put on your coach each year? I do about 8 to 10 K each year. My tires make it about 5 years before They are worn.

Varies widely. Last year, 7K year before, 1800. This year, new used coach. With B F Goodrich tires. 2300 bringing it home. ~~1000 orlando n back December. 'nother thousand for shows already booked. 1700 for a tower kick in Oklahoma. So, 6K give or take plus wherever else we might go.

I had a 6 year old Goodrich Commercial TA, that had been overloaded, fail. It did considerable fiberglass damage. The insurance paid for all the body repair. They wanted the old tire carcass to try to collect from Goodrich.

Several years back an ex GMCer brought his SOB to Noccalula with the passenger side shredded and the right front Alcoa written off - seven or eight K of damage. Old tire, he got no warning on his monitoring system at all until it failed.
