To answer the original question, I would be interested in this system if it is effective and reliable. The original system was removed from my coach by the PO and now I am running a home made version of the wireless system. I have been following Jim B. with his progress on a replacement system. I look forward to learning more about yours also.

This is a tiny bit off subject, but the principles apply. One of the Apollo
astronauts quipped when asked the following question, "Aren't you concerned
about something going wrong way out there on the moon?" "Well let's see,
how would you like to be 238,000 miles from home, in the most complicated
machine ever devised, assembled from parts all supplied by the lowest
bidder?"
I think like this. If it has a solenoid or a relay in it, it is not a
question of will it fail, but WHEN will it fail. Some relays are very high
quality and are tested to perform hundreds of thousands of cycles, same for
solenoid air valves. But those kinds of components are very expensive and
are few and far between. Most of the offshore stuff I have seen is not that
high of quality. My basic intention is to make a replacement system that is
very reliable. Just my humble opinion. Yours may differ.

Well, someone asked about the flashlight, it's an old saw from the 70s - 80s when everything had to be 'microprocessor controlled'. Thus the microprocessor controlled flashlight, which has a three position switch: On, Off, and Reset.

Simple can be the best solution. But, no harm in trying out new ideas. Where did I put the starting handle for my Model T?

Saw this on Ebay:
REAR RIDE HEIGHT LEVEL SENSOR LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER DISCOVERY RQH100030
~ 30 Bucks for a potentiometer ride height sensor, the cheapest one available.
They range in price up to $135 for a modern type electronic height sensor.
If you add in the electronic valves and a control board, $450 for a complete system seems reasonable.

"Complete system -- I know someone before said air delivery is separate
--- but you can replace "everything including the compressor, tank,
regulator, height sensors -- literally all of it if you are looking to
increase the reliability. The end system will only be as reliable as the
oldest, worse part.

Jim,
There's a whole bunch of mis-information out there regarding that quote.
Actually it was Alan Shepard just before he became the first American in space during Project Mercury.
Below are the results of a Google search about it.
According to Gene Kranz in his book, Failure Is Not an Option, "When reporters asked Shepard what he thought about as he sat atop
the Redstone rocket, waiting for liftoff, he had replied, 'The fact that every part of this ship was built by the lowest bidder.'"
Anyone that has seen the movie Apollo 13 knows Gene Kranz; he was the Flight Director played by Ed Harris and wore a white vest.
"It's a very sobering feeling to be up in space and realize that one's safety factor was determined by the lowest bidder on a
government contract." Alan Shepard

Rob M.
