Here's an excellent alternator treatise; it's Jeep-specific but most of the
material is generic. It includes PN's for AZ and Advance Auto lifetime
warranties.

Not in this article, but somewhere I saw that there are CS-144's which are
physically interchangeable with our OEM alternators (not necessarily the
came electrical connections though.)

I'm VERY happy with the CS-130D I mounted on the Cad500. It's tiny but has
very clean 105A output. I had to devise the mount for it and it's driven by
a serpentine belt, so it's not a viable option for most 455's.
