as a thought, it is probably best to make a backing plate of some sort.

You should probably not use a fastener that will expand in the actual fiberglass as this could cause cracks to develop. The molly bolt expands behind and should not cause a crack from your mounting hole.

says the guy whose ladder is sitting in his garage...
