Yeah, I noticed there were no spreaders too. My experience with valve covers have been limited to a 1966 inline 6 chevy and 1990 mitsubishi v6 in a chrysler. The chevy had spreaders, the mitsu had two nuts in the center of the cover, leaked like a sieve.
