Mac, ...where money is a issue for some of us, I choose Cooper tires and have been pleased.

Subject: [GMCnet] Tires for My "New" 76 (ex-Palm Beach)
I know that there was considerable comment on "favored"
tires for our coaches. I am traveling to New Braunfels, TX
on Sunday to bring our new buggy home to Oklahoma City.
The eBay auction showed a picture of a front tire with
lots of tread, but that is only 1 of 6 or 7. I don't
know how old the existing tires are. I wish to be fully
prepared to fork out for a new set if the existing tire
are too ancient to trust for a ~500 mile trip home.
I distinctly recall that "steel" sidewalls were really
discouraged. I'd like some brand/model recommendations.
Many thanks in advance.
