Bruce,

I'm intimately familiar with Leigh's serpentine system. While mine was
designed by Bobby Moore and modified by Sam Young and me, it's basically the
same as Leigh's. And when, after selling about 40 systems to run the OEM
water pump backward, with mixed results, he designed a reverse flow pump, I
was the guinea pig. I ran his first prototype pump on my coach for about
2000 miles before it came apart, stranding me on I-95. The design changes
from that incident probably were the final needed changes (after about 4-5
earlier ones) to make the reverse flow pump reliable -- my new design one is
still hanging on the wall in the shop, never installed.

Unlike some, neither Bobby nor I ever had any overheating with the OEM pump
running backward.

As an evaluation: I like serpentine belts very much -- witness my efforts
to include them with my Cad conversion. But I personally would not pay the
price Leigh or Marsh want for their setups.

I'll take a quick look at the possiblity of using 2 on the Olds.
