Hmmm, sure sounds like no gas if it works on the bench. Do the shorting of the therm wires as mentioned above. My therm wires were broke somewhere so we ran a new line from therm to furnace and it works great. Had Miguel giving me pointers or I would not have figured it out. I even took the darn thing out. But, it works now.
Hope you get it figured out before next winter.
