One other question. Does anyone out there have a Turbo City TBI? Good/bad/indifferent?

Thanks

Looking at a 78 Kingsley next weekend

Richard,
I have a Turbo City on my 76 455 it was put on by PO and he did it himself the installation is sloppy but it runs good except it is slowly developing a bogging down when slowing from highway speed. I have been working on other items and have not tried to fix problem. It does not die it boggs down and a few pumps on pedal and off it goes. The failure to accelerate after slowing down is real close to being a problem. From a standing start or any time under 3 mph I can spin front tire most times with out trying. My coach weighs 12000 lb has a 3.55 final drive and a but kicking Dick Paterson 461 cu in with 60000 miles on it. I personally have only been through the Smoky Mountains and flat lands and it gets 9.5 towing 92 Tracker at 65-75 mph. The PO traveled all out west and Alaska and it performed well. If I had a carb I doubt that I would go TBI and I have the skill to install and maintain TBI myself. As others have said there are more important considerations on which coach to buy and TBI vs carb would not be any where neer the top. Things that cost alot more or cannot be changed are more important. Don't hurry go to rallys and look listen and ask you will be warmly welcomed because a happy GMC new owner is good for all owners. Good Luck and keep asking questions.
