Hi Rivers here if the scratches aren't too deep, you can use a purple scotchbrite
and a stainless steel cleaner or a solvent. The stainless steel has grain so rub
with the grain. If the scratches aren't too deep they will come out.

Does anyone have a fool proof method of removing scratches from stainless
steel....as in a stainless back-splash behind the stove in a GMC?

Any help is appreciated

Mike
