G'day Mike,

The process to remove the scratches would depend on how deep the scratches
are. If they are really deep you will have to sand them out first and that
won't be easy as it will have to be done in stages.

The other question is can you remove the sheet or do you have to do it in
situ?

Here's a link to an abrasive ball sold by Harbor Freight which you can use
to create a brushed finish.

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=96948

Note down the bottom of the ad there are two more like it in 180 and 400
grit.

Final question; could you remove it and turn it over and re-mount it?

Does anyone have a fool proof method of removing scratches from stainless
steel....as in a stainless back-splash behind the stove in a GMC?

Any help is appreciated

Mike
