Wayne, I agree with you about the twin rear beds. When we decided to downsize from a deisel pusher we chose the GMC IF WE COULD FIND THE TWIN BED MODEL. We looked at several other designs and tried to imagine a way to change them into twin beds, but I could not come up with a solution. I do remember seeing pictures of one where they cut a notch into the closet for thier feet on one side and I forget how the other side was accomplished.
But we just kept looking and found ours in Seattle, WA. I flew to Seattle, approved, bought, and drove our '77 Kingsley twin bed dry bath the 2450 miles back to Texas. Our beds are just bearly six ft long, but I'm still glad that is the one we bought.
Our first camper was a tear drop 4X8 trailer my dad built in 1947 using plans from "Mechanix Illustrated" pulled with a bumper clamp hitch on a 1955 Chev HT. We had a 19' trailer, 20' trailer, 24' trailer, 1976 Executive motorhome, 34' trailer/slide out, 1992 Pace Arrow pusher, and then the GMC. Out of all those before, only the Executive had the twin beds and that is why we wanted that design.

thanks, Don Baker, Burleson, Texas '77 Kingsley twin bed dry bath
