The coach is at Tom Hampton's in Marysville OH. I'm hoping he will be able to explain the likely sequence of events that led to this. The axle is intact with the nut still on. Bearing race (s?) seem to be surrounding the nut. The brake shoes were mangeled. I replaced the bearings and seals in April of '02 and have not looked at them since. Miles? I don't know, I'd guess maybe 6000 or so since the bearings were replaced. No I don't think I overtightened the axle nut.

After Tom gets a chance to look at it with his experienced eyes I'll let everyone know what I learn.
