The spindle did not break. The outer bearing failed. The spindle is
intact with the nut. A WAG from the dirty black grease and the amount
of brake dust, it may have been a long time between service? Or new
black grease and too tight on the nut. The smaller bearing is the one
most often to fail first. Was the bogie arm bent before the incident?
